Frequently Asked Questions

Are the classes held online or in person?

Each class is available in both formats! This gives full flexibility for the students to attend classes in person, or attend online if they are unable to make it in person.

Physical classes will be held at Suite 6, 43 George St, Burwood.
Online classes will be held over Zoom.

What do I need to bring for in person classes?

For in person, please bring the following:

  • Pen and/or pencil if you still prefer to conduct working out on paper

  • A calculator

  • A laptop or a tablet (preferably with a stylus)

The laptop/tablet is necessary as we will be using technology to provide some additional interactivity into our lessons.

What do I need to be able to join online classes?

For online classes, please ensure that you check the following before your first lesson:

  • Install Zoom

  • Ensure you have a good internet connection

Additional instructions will be provided (specific to each class) prior to the very first lesson.

What happens if I am unable to attend a class?

We understand that sometimes things pop up (e.g. school or family events, sickness or other surprises) and you may not be able to attend a given class. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance (via email or SMS) so that we can recalibrate the materials of that lesson to better suit the other students. Our classes are kept small so that the lesson worksheets can be better calibrated to the needs of each student.

We will grant a lesson credit for each lesson you are unable to attend, up to a maximum of 2 lesson credits a term. Please note that due to the effort we put into the lessons, if we are notified of lesson absentees less than 24 hours before the lesson is expected to be held, then no lesson credits will be granted.

How long do each class go for?

All high school group classes will run for 2 hours in duration with the exception of Extension 1 classes, which will run for 3 hours in duration.

How many students are in each class?

At Real Value Tuition, we focus on providing real educational value that is tailored to each student. As a result, we are committed to keeping the classes small and will not have more than 10 students in any one class.

How can I pay for lessons?

There are 3 methods available for payment:

  1. Cash

  2. Bank Transfer

  3. Eftpos

Please see the payment methods page for further details.

What are the prices for each class?
